Nicholas Wong (b. 1988) is a Hong Kong based photographer. His photographs are made like an abstract painter paints, using intuition to craft tight compositions, manipulating light and shadows to pull beauty from often overlooked subjects.
His early curiosity for art and design led to photography where he spent 6 years traveling internationally as a wedding photographer. Settling in Hong Kong in 2018, he currently provides content to various print and online media, centred around people, food, and travel.
Taken aback by the city's cultural ironies and contrasts, he became fascinated with creating soulful interpretations of the literal and metaphorical layers of life in Hong Kong.
